Willie Edward Steed Jr.

Willie Edward Steed, Jr., 78, of Bedford Dr. died Saturday, June 8, 2019 at his home.

A graveside service with full military honors rendered by The Davidson County Honor Guard will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Chris Henson.

Willie was born in Davidson County January 21, 1941 to the late Willie Edward Steed, Sr. and Minnie Louada Essick Steed. A member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church he was a retired district manager for Day Enterprises (KFC), and a veteran of the US Navy. He loved sports and was the Carolina Tarheels number one fan. His love was his family. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Harris Steed and Ronnie Steed.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Everhart Steed of the home; son, Gregory Edward Steed of the home; daughters Donna Michael (Ray) and Kim Young (Mike) all of Lexington. Also surviving are grandchildren Stacey Snider (Ryan), Emily Michael, Casey Young, and Chase Young; and great-grandson Ryker Snider.
