Willie Swicegood

Willie Adam Swicegood, 80, of Feezor Road died Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Sunbridge of Lexington. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home by the Rev. Max Shoaf. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Swicegood was born to Eugene Swicegood and Eula Koontz Dennis. He was a retired truck driver from Epes Transport. Mr. Swicegood was a member of Psalms 91 church. He was preceded in death by two great-grandsons. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Earp Swicegood of the home; sons, David Childress and wife, Barbara, of Lexington and Walter Childress and wife, Susan, of Southmont; daughter, Ellen Jones and husband, Claude, of Linwood; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Pat Haltom and husband, Norman, of Thomasville. The family will receive friends fro 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and other times at the home on Feezor Road.
