Willis Eugene Davis

Willis “Bill” Davis, 91 of Maple Street, Welcome, passed away Thursday, August 03, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center.   A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, August 7, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Welcome, where he was a member, with the Rev. Mark Blair and Jonathan Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the service and other times at the home on Michael Drive.  Mr. Davis was born March 21, 1926, in Davidson County, to Evie Lee and Nora Crotts Davis. He was retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries and was a member of Welcome Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Betty, brothers Joe Davis, wife (Doris), Gilbert Davis, wife (Helen) and a sister Belva White .  Surviving are his daughters, Vickie Davis Brinkley (Gary) of Topeka, Kansas and Nora Anne Flowe (Larry) of Lexington; grandchildren, Jeremey Flowe, fiancé (Amanda White) and Staci Brinkley Brown (Gary); great-grandchildren Wyatt and Suzanne Brown; a brother, Bobby Davis (Joretta) of Winston Salem. A special niece, Linda Nifong, along with many other loving nieces and nephews.  Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Welcome, Cemetery Fund, PO Box 269, Welcome, NC 27374.  Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Road is assisting the family.
