Wilma Briggs Byerly, age 88 of Lexington Health Care formerly East Holly Grove Road, Lexington passed away Monday morning August 15, 2016 at Lexington Health Care. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Becks Lutheran Church with Rob Crawford, Vicar and Rev. David Huddle officiating. Burial will follow at Becks Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. Wilma was born in Davidson County, October 6, 1927 to Ivey Lee Briggs and Addie Mae Burkhart Briggs. She was a member of Becks Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Davis Townsend School, attended Ashmore Business College and was a retired employee of Thomasville Furniture Industries. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Junior Byerly; one brother and two sisters. Surviving are her daughters, Anita Byerly Stiles and husband Bud of Gastonia, Karen Byerly Lamb and husband Ronald of Thomasville; son, Randy Byerly and wife Becky of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Robert Lamb, Kristina Lamb, Garrett Byerly, Caleb Byerly, Vivian Leigh Byerly and Isaac Byerly; sister, Edith Honeycutt of Lexington.
