Wilma Tussey Peace

Wilma Tussey Peace, age 88 of Abbotts Creek Care and Rehabilitation, formerly of Tussey Avenue, Lexington passed away Tuesday (2-17-2009) at the nursing home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday (2-20-2009) at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bruce Langley officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Wilma was born in Davidson County February 23, 1920 to Jess Washington Tussey and Jesse Frances Thomason Tussey. She was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ and a retired employee of Altar Hoisery Mill. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and four sisters. Surviving are: three sons, Don T. Peace, Jerry Peace and Melvin Peace all of Lexington;two daughters, Sharon Graham and husband Larry of Lexington and Joyce Garner and husband N.A. of Denton, five grand- daughters, four great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
