Wilma Potts

Wilma Jean Dunning Potts, 90, of Lexington, passed away Sunday June 21, 2026, at The Hinkle Hospice House.

A private service will be held by the family. 

There will be no formal visitation.

Wilma was born April 26, 1936, in Davidson County to W. A. Dunning and Sadie Everhart Dunning. Along with her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Arnold Potts, Sr.; her daughter, Beverly Leigh Potts; her brother, Allen Dunning; and her sister, Vernita Buie.

Wilma loved animals. Her fur babies, Layla and Zoe held a special place in her heart.

Surviving is her daughter, Rhonda Jean Frank; her son, Edward “Eddie” Potts Jr.; and her grandson, Dalton Frank.
