Wilma Stallings, age 86 of Peacock Drive, Lexington formerly of South Highway 150, Linwood passed away Monday morning (September 27, 2010) at Hinkle Hospice House.
Funeral service will be 4:00 pm Friday (October 1, 2010) at Psalm 91 Church with Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow at Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery in Rowan County.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
Wilma was born in Rowan County, September 21, 1924 to Jessie Lee Koontz and Addie Trexler Koontz. She was a homemaker and a member of Yadkin Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn Stallings, June 22, 1980, a sister Arleene Morgan and three brothers, Roy Lee and David Koontz and Tommy Spry.
Surviving are: one daughter, Lucille Edwards and husband Bob of Lexington; two grandchildren, Ticer Edwards and wife JoAnna and Tangi Edwards; four great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Tristan, Ethan and Emilee; three sisters, Ethel Glore of Georgia, Mary Tanner of Gold Hill and Linda Beck of Woodleaf; one brother, Rev. Mike Koontz of Salisbury.
