Wilma Koontz Stallings

Wilma Stallings, age 86 of Peacock Drive, Lexington formerly of South Highway 150, Linwood passed away Monday morning (September 27, 2010) at Hinkle Hospice House.  Funeral service will be 4:00 pm Friday (October 1, 2010) at Psalm 91 Church with Rev. Max Shoaf officiating.  Burial will follow at Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery in Rowan County.   The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 pm at the church prior to the service.   Wilma was born in Rowan County, September 21, 1924 to Jessie Lee Koontz and Addie Trexler Koontz.  She was a homemaker and a member of Yadkin Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn Stallings, June 22, 1980, a sister Arleene Morgan and three brothers, Roy Lee and David Koontz and Tommy Spry.   Surviving are: one daughter, Lucille Edwards and husband Bob of Lexington; two grandchildren, Ticer Edwards and wife JoAnna and Tangi Edwards; four great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Tristan, Ethan and Emilee; three sisters, Ethel Glore of Georgia, Mary Tanner of Gold Hill and  Linda Beck of Woodleaf; one brother, Rev.
