Wilma Jane Vaughn

Wilma Jane Wright Vaughn, 90, of Nathan Dr., Lexington passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.   A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, with Father Ambrose Akinwande officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday at the church hall just prior to the service. Burial will follow 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the National Cemetery in Salisbury.   Mrs. Vaughn was born June 26, 1927 in Warsaw, NY to William Allen Wright and Winifred Hyland Wright. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and a retired Lab Technician. Preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond Lewis Vaughn, Aug. 1, 2010, two sisters, Regina Romance and Mary Putney.   Surviving are four sons, David Bryan Vaughn (Bonnie) of Churchville, N,, Richard Allen Vaughn (Sandi) of Randolph, MA, James Lewis Vaughn (Michele) of Lutz, FL, Paul Joseph Vaughn (Sue Cho) of Durham; three daughters, Eileen Wood of Winston-Salem, Linda Ann Schnitzer of Palmetto, FL, Diane Theresa Brawner of Winston-Salem, NC; 11 grandchildren and three great grandsons.
