Woody Floyd

Farrell Elwood “Woody” Floyd, Jr, 58, of Michael Rd, died Friday, July 23 at Hinkle Hospice House.

The family will receive friends at the home of his brother on Old Burkhart Road from 6-8pm Tuesday, July 27.  A private service will be held at a later date.

Woody was born August 3, 1962 in Davidson County to Farrell and Martha Moore Floyd.  He was the owner and operator of Woody’s Mobile Home Transport.  He loved working with his hands and fixing things.  He enjoyed fast cars and racing.

He is survived by his parents of Lexington; his son, Jordan Floyd (Caitlin) and his daughters, Brooke Floyd and Shannon Floyd, all of West Virginia; and his brother, Keith Floyd (Candy) of Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Bethany United Methodist Church Building Fund, 193 Bethany Road, Lexington NC 27292.
