Worth Haywood Potts, 76, of W. Old Hwy 64, Lexington died Friday at his home.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Reeds United Methodist Church, where he was a member, by Rev. Gary Foster and Dr. Jim Martin. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
He was born October 17, 1929 in Davie County to Wiley Potts and Agnes Kimmer Potts. He retired from Baker Furniture and was a lifelong farmer. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wiley Sanford Potts; two grandsons, Adam Belcher and Jonathan Belcher; and a brother in law, James Rutledge.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lanier Potts of the home; three daughter, Sandra Bodenheimer and husband, Mark; Theresa Wilson and husband, Garry; and Karen Belcher and husband, Robert; all of Lexington; three grandchildren: Shane Fink, Chad Fink, and Tiffany Belcher; three great grandchildren: Kirsten Fink, Jeremy Fink, and Ava Fink; a brother, Avalon Potts and wife, Marilyn; and three sisters: Helen Rutledge of Yadkinville; Hazel Foster and husband, George, of Emerald Isle; and Vicky Frye and husband, Jim, of Cornatzer.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and at other times at the home.
