Zella Myers Hege

Zella Myers Hege, 89, of Friendship Church Road, died Sunday, December 26, 2010, at her home.   The funeral will be 11 A.M. Wednesday at Good Hope United Methodist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Chris Bennett. Burial will follow in Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 6 to 8p.m. Tuesday, Decemer 28,2010, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and other times at the home.   Mrs. Hege was born February 8, 1921, in Davidson County, to James William Myers and Anna Snider Myers. She was an assembler at Duracell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Lee Hege Sr., who died April 7, 2000; a son, Grady Lee Hege Jr; daughter, Elaine Hege Weaver; brother, Frank Myers, Jack Myers and Thurman Myers, sisters, Nona McMahan, Elsie Charles and Dorothy Myers.    Surviving are three grandchildren, Sherri Shoaf, Debbie Pickett and Ardell Weaver Jr; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother Graham Myers of Lexington; and sisters, Lena Byerly and Virginia Shoaf, both of Lexington, and Nanny Sue Blaylock of Rocky Mount,     Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.       Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
