Zelma Little

Mary Zelma Stocks Little, 97, of New Jersey Church Road, died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 12 Noon Monday at Lighthouse Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Pastor David Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall prior to the service starting at 11 am and at other times at the home. Mrs. Little was born January 13, 1919, in Columbus County, to William Stocks and Rachel Williamson Stocks. She was retired from Young Hinkle where she had worked in the finishing room. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Washington Little; and grandchildren, Jody Lee Yarbrough, Greg Ward and Timmy Little. Surviving are sons, Lloyd Ray Little, William “Billy” Everette Little and wife Nancy, and Jerry “Sam” Little, all of Lexington; daughters, Shirley Fay Little Todd and husband John David, Wilma Kay Little Ward and husband Rossie, all of Whiteville, and Linda Gray Little Yarbrough and husband Larry of Lexington; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Martha Barker of New Bern.
