Zelma Walser Michael, 90, of North Hwy 150, Lexington died Monday, June 25, 2012 in Hinkle Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Benny Clodfelter and Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at their respective homes.
Mrs. Michael was born June 22, 1922, in Davidson County, to George Grady Walser and Jennie Shoaf Walser. She was a retired seamstress from Edgewood Casuals and a member of Shiloh United Methodist. Preceding her in death was her husband, Jacob Franklin Michael, July 18, 1956, four sisters, Pauline Hanes, Christine Cope, Martha Walser and Virgie Handy.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Michael and wife Judy, Jerry Michael and wife Reba, both of Lexington; three grandchildren, Sherry Murph and husband, Eric, Tammy Michael both of Lexington, and Shelia Potter and husband Keith of Linwood; four great grandchildren, Alicia Massey and husband Chad of Charlotte, Kallie Potter of Linwood, Kyleigh Miller and Isaiah Murph, both of Lexington; one great great granddaughter, Addison Massey of Charlotte; four brothers, Grady Pete Walser, Richard Leonard and wife, Ann, Henry Leonard and wife, Wilma, Bobby Leonard and wife, Nancy all of Lexington; and a sister, Hazel Waselesky of Lexington.
