Becky Lou Carter Allison, 63, of Giles Road, died Friday, August 12, 2011, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, in Winston-Salem following an extended illness.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Christian Baptist Church, Linwood, where she was an active and faithful member, with the Rev. Sam Harvey and Brother Billy Louya officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at the home.
Mrs. Allison was born July 2, 1948, in Davidson County, to Lawrence Robert Carter and Annie Belle Link Carter. She was retired from Hanes Brands Inc. Her father preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband, David Samuel “Sammy” Allison Jr., who is employed at Davidson Funeral Home; daughters, Tracy Whitfield and husband, Aaron and Mandy Robertson and husband, Scott, all of Lexington; step-son, David S. Allison III of Lexington; step-daughter, Misty Everhart and husband, Brian, of Lexington; five grandchildren, Brent Shore, Jessica Whitfield, Dylan Robertson, Trevor Robertson, and Sophie Robertson; three step-grandchildren, Tyler Allison, Cory Allison and Ashlyn Everhart; one great-grandchild, Kinley Shore; her mother, of Lexington; brother, Bobby Carter and wife, Diane, of Lexington; and sisters, Patsy Hill and husband, Dennis, Vickie Kinney, and Jamie Thore and husband, Steve, all of Lexington.
