David Arthur Tussey

Mr. David Arthur Tussey, 91, of Old Highway 64 West, Lexington, died Wednesday, March 19, at Wake Forest Baptist Health - Lexington Medical Center. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Davidson Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Foster officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Mr. Tussey was born March 27, 1922, in Davidson County, to Arthur David Tussey and Lona Daye Temple Tussey. He was a member of Reeds United Methodist Church and had a love for flowers and most of all his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Harold Tussey, Ralph Tussey, Holland Tussey, and Clyde Tussey; sisters, Ruby Walser, Clatie Nelson, and Jean Fouts.  Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years Lala Beeker Tussey of the home; daughters, Charm Tussey Zinna and husband Mario, and Jill Tussey Boone and husband Chris; four grandchildren, Christie Micheletti and husband Nick, Maria Zinna, Emily Boone, and Kailee Boone; and sister, Donese Leonard and husband Max of Welcome.  Memorials may be made to Reeds United Methodist Church, 4731 West Old Highway 64, Lexington, NC 27295.
