Hayden Craver

Hayden Grace Craver, 1, of Rustic Brick Road in Raleigh was born Sept. 17, 2005. She passed away in the arms of her parents and with her grandparents surrounding her at WakeMed Center in Raleigh on Friday afternoon, Dec. 15, 2006. Hayden Grace was a happy, joyful baby who loved her family. She enjoyed being read and sang to, Winnie the Pooh, swinging on the front porch, trips to the beach, bouncing in her jumper, and N.C. State University football games. Although she was very ill, she always had a smile and hug for you. Her family will miss her very much. Her family would also like to thank the members of the Intensive Care Nursery and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for the care they provided for Hayden Grace. Hayden Grace is survived by her parents, Nathan Glenn Craver and Shannon Summerlin Craver, of the home; maternal grandparents Steve and Patty Summerlin of Rocky Mount; paternal grandparents Glenn Craver and Judy Craver of Winston-Salem; maternal great-grandparents Aaron and Zelphia Summerlin and Alfred S. Kilpatrick, all of Rocky Mount; and maternal aunt Brittany Dare Summerlin of Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Canaan United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dana B. Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at the Jones Chapel at Meredith College. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Dec. 18, at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel.
