Judith “Judy” Edwards Taylor, age 57 of Taylor Road, Lexington went home to be with her Lord Friday, June 26, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center after a 21 month battle with cancer.
A memorial will be held 6:00 PM Thursday July 2, 2009 at the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Bill Mayberry, Rev. Kenneth Deal, Rev. Joanne Hanley, and Rev. Michael Greer officiating.
Mrs. Taylor was born September 20, 1951 in Davidson County. She was employed as Marketing Director with Excel Imaging in Winston Salem from 2002 until February 2009. She graduated from Forsyth Memorial Hospital X-Ray Technology Program in 1971. She was a clinical instructor at Forsyth Technical Community College from 1992 until 2002. Mrs. Taylor was a member of First Wesleyan Church for over 30 years where she formerly served as Music Director and Youth Director.
Judy was the devoted wife of Thomas E. Taylor for 37 years. She was a loving mother of two sons, Brian Taylor and Cole Taylor and his wife, Kelly, all of Lexington. She adored her grandchildren, Carly Taylor, Chloe Taylor, Avery Taylor, Isaiah, Taylor, and Hannah. Other special people in her life; Josie, Brandy, Judy, Carolyn and Linda.
The family would like to thank the thoughtful people at Forsyth Medical Center, Dr. T. Grote, Danielle ,Julie, and the Colorectal Support Group.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel following the memorial service.
