Kenneth Bost

James “Kenneth” Bost, age 71, of Lexington passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the home of his son Kenny.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 25, 2019 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Pastor David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home.

Mr. Bost was born in Davidson County on August 29, 1947 to James William Bost and Larrene Hamm Bost. He was a retired welder, having worked for Proctor and Schwartz and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Bost served in the Army and obtained an associate’s degree in welding technology. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Bost.

Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Elliott Bost of the home; his two sons, David Elliott (Karen) of Lexington and Kenny Bost (Nikkie) of Winston Salem; a daughter, Lisa Bost of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a brother, Danny Bost (Lynn) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Shane Hunt, Christopher Elliott, Seth Shell and Haley Shell, and one on the way; and three great-grandchildren, Mason Elliott, Riley Elliott, and Marley Hunt.
