Lucille Frye

Lucille Starr Frye, age 88 of Del Vista Drive, Lexington passed away Monday morning, October 1, 2012 at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 6 at Bethany United Methodist Church, by the Rev. David Talbert. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mrs. Frye was born November 3, 1928 in Davidson County to Thomas Franklin Starr and Fannie Mae Owen Starr. She retired from Parkdale Mills and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Her husband, William “Bill” Norman Frye, and her son, William “Steve” Frye, preceded her in death, as well as seven siblings and six half-siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Frye Laughton and husband, Milton, of Beaufort, NC; her grandson, Adam H. Laughton and wife, Ariel, of Houston, TX; her great grandchildren, Charlotte Laughton and Grey Laughton; and her brother, Ralph Starr of Lexington.
