Cleveland Mitchell Andrews, 65, of Riverwood Drive, died Sunday at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 30 at First Presbyterian Church, where he was a member, officiated by Dr. Lee Zehmer.
Mitch was born January 9, 1943 in Davidson County to L. E. Andrews and Catherine Mitchell Andrews. He was a 1960 graduate of Lexington High School and a 1964 graduate of Wake Forest University. He moved to Charlotte in 1966 and resided there until returning to their home at High Rock Lake after his retirement. Mitch was a well respected furniture representative in North and South Carolina for Hekman Furniture and several other manufacturers for more than 44 years. He won many sales awards and was the top grossing salesman several times. He was a member of Sapona Country Club, Myers Park Country Club, the Elks Club and loyal member of the Wake Forest University Deacon Club.
Surviving are his wife, Meredith Norton Andrews of the home; his son, Joe Andrews and wife, Anne, of Winston Salem; his grandchildren: Kate Andrews and Tommy Andrews of Winston Salem; his brother, Lee Andrews of Lexington; and a nephew, Taylor Andrews of Austin, TX.
The family will receive friends following the service at Sapona Country Club to celebrate Mitch’s life.
