Paul Everhart, Jr.

Earnest “Paul” Everhart, Jr, 78, of Lexington passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Hinkle Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 6, 2019 in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Truell and Billy Pearson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home.

Mr. Everhart was born in Davidson County on March 20, 1941 to Earnest Paul Everhart, Sr. and Lemmie Sue Lanning Everhart. He was a retired supervisor, having worked at Alpha II and was the former owner of Davidson Supply. Mr. Everhart was a former member of the Southmont Fire Department Board of Directors, where he served faithfully for over thirty years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and his memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Myra Sue Lemly.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Carolyn Green Everhart of the home; his daughter, Carol Annette Hutchinson (Mark) of Ameila, VA; two sons, Randy Everhart (Laura Slack) and Eric Everhart all of Lexington; a brother, Gary Hill Everhart (Joann) of Lexington; and eight grandchildren, Timothy, Joshua, Nathan, Nicholas, Jared, Stacy, Addy and Lance.
