Robert James Malloy

Robert James Malloy, age 88 of Lexington, died Sunday, August 22, 2021 at WF Baptist Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 30, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church conducted by The Rev. Father Brian Cook.

Robert “Bob” was born December 31, 1932 in  Cambria County to Paul Gregory Malloy and Mary Evelyn Glass Malloy. He worked as a commercial construction manager and served in the USAF from 1952 till 1956 as a Cryptographer. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Winston-Salem, NC. Bob loved spending time and sharing his wittiness with his grandchildren and family. He was an avid reader, enjoyed daily walks, traveling, golf and watching, coaching and umpiring baseball. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert “Bobby” Malloy.

Surviving is his wife, Cora Regina Malloy, of 69 years; a daughter, Debbie Kunko (Rick) of Ohio; son, Doug Malloy (Jan) of Lexington; daughter in-law, Jacqueline Malloy of Myrtle Beach; 6 grandchildren, Allison Wenger (Scott), Stephanie Fisher (Mitch), Brett Malloy (Paige), Brittany Granger (Cory), Andy Kunko and Kelsey Malloy (Stephen); and 6 great grandchildren, Brayden Granger, Rebecca Wenger, Connolly Malloy, Megan Wenger, Macklin Malloy and Oakley Granger.
