Stanley Albright Moore, 99, of Lexington, NC, formally of Fayetteville, WV, died April 20th, 2025, after a short illness. Stanley was born on a bright Wednesday, June 10th, 1925, in Henderson, North Carolina, where he began a journey that would touch many lives. He retired from the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Animal & Plant Inspection Service with 35 years of service. Stanley also served in the U. S. Navy during WW ll as a Seaman First Class in the South Pacific.
Stanley was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Stanley Turner Moore and Eula Moore. He was also preceded by his beloved wife, Hilah Mae Moore, sisters, Sue Metheny and Ann Hannah who together created a loving home filled with warmth and kindness.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Margaret Harvey (David) of King, NC, and Merry Settle (Julian), of Winston-Salem, NC, and five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren who was a source of immense pride and joy to Stanley throughout his life.
A graveside service will be held, 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Fayetteville Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville, WV.
Stanley Albright Moore will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those who loved him.
